ECAS can provide Water and Sewerage companies with Trade Effluent consent programmes. In the majority of countries Trade effluent will include any wastewater derived from a production process or from washing or cooling activities.
Premises producing trade effluent vary in size from small launderettes to large chemical manufacturing facilities.
Trade effluent can damage sewers, sewage treatment processes and the watercourses that it is discharged to. It can also affect the health and safety of anyone working in or around the sewerage networks.
Every Water and Sewerage company needs to ensure that their infrastructure and treatment processes work effectively, so that they can return treated wastewater safely back into the environment.
